Here's my portrait of Gary and his beloved Tara! Gary is one of the very best men I know, and I am so happy that he has such a beautiful woman who makes him so happy. If she is worthy of his esteem and love, then she must simply be an angel! Big hugs and loves to them both!!!

I'm really digging the blue shading on their faces. It gives the picture a sort of psychodelic element and works with the colour scheme. This picture really makes me feel good. Ah, young love!

I don't think you should change a thing, but I see that you opted for composition and design over naturalism when depicting Tara's arm. I think it's the right choice, because shapes making up her hair and arm area are formed from negative and positive spaces, which match the arabesques in the rest of the picture. Doing otherwise would have messed up the flow.

I am very happy to hear that, because in the photo I was working on, it was a little awkward to interpret exactly how her arm was angled. It was one of those times when sure, in the picture it made sens, but try to translate it into linework... and um... it looked very odd. So I simplified as best I could and just allowed the design of the piece as a whole to guide it... praying it would just blend in, lol.

You have to go by the strongest element in the piece. In this case it was the linework. So bending the anatomy to fit was the best option. This way the couple appear to be part of the swirls, rather than pasted on top.

This is so cool, it has a 70ish feel to it, and a hippi appeal. I love the flowing hair!
